Using Muskets & Tomahawks II Rules

A war party of Indians and Canadian Milice (militie) enter the far end of the table with Charlie, Pat & Tim (off camera on the right).  Hamlet is defended by civilians in the field and militia arriving from the far end of the table. Indians and Milice scatter to attack with the intent of burning down and killing as much as they can!

Milice and Indians set fire to the mill and are greeted with fire from the Miller’s homestead and the blacksmith shop across the road.  The milice are forced back across the stream to the pasture.  A group of milice attempt to charge the big house across the bridge (far end of table) but are checked by determined resistance from the civilians.

The war parties succeed in torching down the mill, the Miller's house, and the blacksmith shop. The inhabitants are either killed or taken captive. The timely arrivals of Rangers and Provincials manage to keep the mayhem localized to one side of the bridge.

There was a point system where points were awarded for casualties produced, buildings burned, and captives obtained. Both sides gained 55+ points meaning it was a bloody affair.  The French scored mostly via burning buildings and driving off ALL of the militia with ease.

The English scored through managing to kill enough Indians & Milice, which were scored higher than the Marines (due to their limited numbers).

We had 5 players + 2 spectators, and everyone really liked the Rural Hall Public Library as a venue.  I will put on a 2nd game there, hopefully this year, and Charlie & Bob (B2), both said they'd host games there on Saturdays.
